Leah Faith

God is good! That is all I have been able to think about lately since our miracle has arrived. She is absolutely perfect and we love her more then words can express. We spend most of our days holding and cuddling her. It is the best feeling in the world having her in my arms.

We now know that the left side of her heart is big enough to use so only one surgery will be needed instead of several like we thought. Thank you for all your prayers we know that they worked. They have to go in and make her aortic arch bigger and also will fix the hole in her heart. We are just waiting to hear when that will happen. Hopefully we will get a surgery date scheduled either tomorrow or Tuesday. We will keep you updated.

Thanks again for praying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more day!

I don't think that it has hit us yet that our little princess will most likely be here tomorrow. We have been waiting for her for the last nine months! On Friday we had one more fetal echo and were told that her heart has not grown enough and she will most likely have to have surgery a week after she is born. We know that she is in God's hands and are still praying for a miracle. Please do the same!

I have been up in KC for the last week and Mom and Rusty have traded back and forth. Mom and I got a lot of shopping done and Rusty and I went to the World War One museum it was really neat! The week went fast thanks to some amazing friends. Thank you Miranda, Chris, Jessica, Kaylen, Lori, Ken, Jeremiah, Jessica, and Kelly for hanging out with us this week. We really appreciate your friendship!

Once she gets here and the family has had a chance to see her Mom is in charge of putting it on facebook. Then you will finally know her name and everyone can decide who she looks like. ;)

Thanks for all your prayers! We realize that people we don't even know are praying for our princess. Prayer is an amazing thing! Please keep them up.

Love you all!

Ronald McDonald House

Mom and I arrived at the Ronald McDonald house yesterday afternoon not sure what to expect. Everyone here is really friendly and all though we wish we did not have to stay here we are blessed that a place like this exist.

Right now it is a waiting game. We are down to six days until I will be induced unless Baby Wright decides to come early. Thank you for all the prayers and support you have given my family over the last several months. We are so fortunate to have you all in our lives.

I will update again soon!

Doctor Visit on Friday

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I have not updated you in awhile but there really has not been much of an update until now. Rusty, Mom, Dad, and I went to Children's on Friday and met with many different people. It was a long but good day. We found out many things and also got a lot of  our questions answered.

We found out that Baby Wright's left side of the heart is just borderline surgery. She is at a -1 and if it gets to a zero in the next three weeks she will most likely not have to have the big surgery. Thanks for praying! They really do work. They did tell us that she will for sure have to have surgery on the VSD (hole in her heart) but that would not be an extensive as the other surgery. We will not know for sure what they are going to do until she is born. They said it is really up to Baby Wright and how well she does once she is born. The unknown is scary but we know that she is in good hands. Rusty and I also know that we can get a lot of prayer time in the next three weeks. :) The doctors were also very encouraged by how well Baby Wright is growing. She is already 6 lbs! We also got to see her in 3D which was amazing!

The reason I say the next three weeks is because we know for sure that she will be here by then! I am being induced on January 30th so she will hopefully be here on that day and if not soon after. I will go to stay in KC on January 23rd just in case she decides to come early. All this information has really made Rusty and I get our house ready for Baby Wright. All her clothes are washed, pack and play up, and car seat in the car. Now all we need to do is pack our bags and we are ready to go.

Here are a few of the 3D pics and also a song that has really been an encouragement lately.

I hope you all have a great week!

Baby Wright's Room!

We went to my regular OB yesterday and had a scan done on Baby Wright to make sure she had enough fluid around her and also that she was growing on schedule. Everything looked great! We were hoping for a picture of her but the sonogram lady said that she was to smashed in there that she could not get a good picture. Oh well we are just really excited that she is growing right on schedule.  I got a call a few days ago to keep January 6th on our calendar open they are not sure on the time yet. That is when we will go up to Kansas City and get all of our questions answered. My parents are going with us which we are very grateful! They know exactly what to ask and are so supportive.

I wanted to give you all a sneak peak of Baby Wright's room. Oh yeah by the way she does have a name but we are keeping it a secret until she is born so you will have to wait a little longer to find that out! :) The room is extremely pink which you probably are not surprised one bit. Hopefully she doesn't grow up hating pink.

My first post

Hi Everyone!

I am not sure how good I am going to be at this whole blogging thing but I thought it would be a good way to keep everyone updated on everything with Baby Wright. For those of you who do not know our little princess has a serious heart defect, which will most likely require surgery soon after she is born unless God heals her first! I will now deliver at Children's Mercy in Kansas City. Rusty, my Mom, and I went up there on Friday to meet the OB who will deliver me and had another sonogram. I can not even tell you how many sonograms we have had but I never get tired of seeing our precious little girl. We did find out that she weighs 4 lbs which is really exciting!

The OB would like for me to be up there two to one week early  just in case I go into labor. If I have not had her by 39 weeks they are going to induce me the last week in January. It is looking like we will have a January baby instead of February. We will go back to Children's one more time at the beginning of January to meet with a team of cardiologist and surgeons and get all of our questions answered. We are starting a list of questions now. We want to be prepared and know exactly what is wrong with our little one and what we can expect if she has to have surgery.

Thanks for your continued prayer and support. We are really fortunate to have the family and friends that we have and our Faith in God has also made this much easier. We know that He is in control and He will take care and fix our little girls broken heart.

"Then Jesus answered woman, You have great faith! Your request is granted and your daughter was healed from that very hour." Matthew 15:28
